What a fucking fabulous ending to this story. The world you've created in these four parts is so detailed and COMPLETE.

And the stories WITHIN THE STORIES. Dear god, they're amazing. They are so reminiscent of German folktales with their dark themes. They are wonderful in themselves AND fit into this story perfectly.

I love how you've developed Arthur and Eames. They don't magically become perfect but they learn to be a little bit more okay with themselves. AND THEN THEY DO IT!! fnjk;nfjk;njfk; :D

Other things: The poem that Arthur wrote! ‘I’m a parrot too! But I’m honest!’ Arthur's butt dimples!!

Yay! I'm glad you liked it!! All the E.T.A. Hoffmann and Brothers Grimm I read when I was a kid paid off :D

That was absolutely stunning. I love Arthur's pain, and shame. I love that Eames tries so hard to convince him of his love, that he's not just joking. I love that Eames is still childish enough to lie to Arthur to bring out his jealousy. They are so blessedly flawed and fearful.

And what a lovely ending!

This was really lovely; I feel like the other comments have covered it well, but it seems right to repeat: you've crafted a very complete story and world here, and it's a pleasure to read. What you did with all the characters--Arthur and Eames, COBB, Ariadne and Yusuf and everyone, really--feels very authentic while still serving the story.

Thank you so much for reading and for your lovely words! This is really wonderful to hear--making the characters authentic and somewhat true to canon was something I tried really hard to do. <3

Great ending! The revelation that the "ghost" was hired by Cobb was really in keeping with the movie, and I loved Arthur finally accepting that what he's good at isn't composing. And being a badass writer.

Wow. Just...wow. To be honest, I usually get tired of long-ish stories because they often just drag on and on for no good reason, but this story kept me hooked the entire time. What with the initial premise of rival composers combined with Mal's "projection," Eames's debts, Browning's betrayal, Robert as a prostitute, Arthur's stories, and so much more, I couldn't look away. And the writing is exquisite! If you don't mind, I'm just going to stay here and flail about in your story a bit more! ♥

Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad it stayed interesting the whole time. Never written anything this long or this story-ish before, so it was a gamble! <3
