Also trying to fit this together with canon even though I know it's not supposed--like, is this why Arthur thinks inception is impossible and Eames thinks it's possible? Because this job sort of failed by Eames thinks it worked? Because they ran this job and blah blah blah?

ANYWAY, I like this fic lots. After all, it's the journey, not the destination ;)

And huh, that would be an interesting backstory, wouldn't it? Arthur says inception is impossible because he's already tried it and it failed, while Eames says it's possible even though the first try failed. Illustrating the philosophical divide between the two, I suppose.

I started reading this with the expectation that I was going to bawl my eyes out (this is a sign of how much I love you *hugs*) and instead you took my breath away. The way you've characterized them here, it feels so RIGHT, how Arthur would proposition Eames in a dream, how they're irresistibly drawn to each other, and that ending. Perfect. <3

I'd love to read more of this because it was beautiful done. For example, I would love to know Arthur's reaction the next time he went to see Eames but the man had already quit. Also, I'd love to read what happens after this and the firs time they fuck irl.

This fic was absolutely riveting. I love the little details about dreamsharing that you create (like Eames being able to control how much semen he produces!!!) And these are such believable versions of the characters; I always like to see a confident, flirtatious Arthur and a more guarded Eames. Their dialogue is deliciously sharp here. And the sex was really hot, and I loved seeing Eames's guard come down slowly.
