Well, Freddie the Dog is some indeterminable animal shelter mix, but Gooley remarks she's likely a brindle coated pit bull of unknown origins. Mexican Cat was a kitten given to Diana by some day laborers who took a shine on her high school Spanish. When asked what kind of cat it was, they shrugged and said "Mexican!" with a laugh.
