Snowfall (with no shovel)

Jan 03, 2006 14:21

According to the National Weather Service, on Dec 9th 2005, we received 8.5 inches of snow. I don't believe this number to be accurate for Boston Metro.

Any sites anyone know that could give me a better estimate?  I am debating paying my snowplow bill here.

should disregard the national weather service they aren't very accurate when it comes to local weather. You should go to whdh.com and see what the forecast was for that day and search around on their website and you will find a better answer being that it is a local station.

it doesn't seem like that much accumulated, but i know it did snow, because i went back and looked at my own journal:

i think it only topped off at maybe six or seven inches though. :)

I remember that day clearly, we were all helping out in that snowstorm. But unfortunately almost all the info I am getting comes back with higher than usual (since all readings are from the airport, higher snowfall is expected).

According to this link, it was only just under 1/2 an inch, not including what could already have been on the ground.
