Kadaj blinks groggily before eyes opening fully, realizing he shouldn't be groggy because he shouldn't be asleep. He sits up sharply, disoriented and rather alarmed. A soldier always attempts to fight battles on his own terms and not his enemies' terms... so Yazoo had hidden Kadaj's armor and souba, and was waiting outside Kadaj's door for when his alternate brother inevitably came out to find it. Both armor and sword had been cleaned meticulously, of course-- Yazoo was too much of a neat freak to leave them dirty, if nothing else.

"Good afternoon, brother," Yazoo said calmly, smiling just a little. Now came the challenge of getting Kadaj to eat something.

Kadaj stares blandly at his brother when he opens his door, hand resting on the door frame.

"Where did you put them, Yazoo?"

"Away. Safely. I'm not letting you out again until you eat something. You are no good to anyone if you collapse of exhaustion," Yazoo said, his tone still mild. "Mother has agreed with my assessment that you need to be functional."

Kadaj winces slightly at Mother's agreement. He frowns, leveling his gaze at Yazoo again.
