In attempting to be a concerned, pro-active recipient of medical attention, I have managed to make no progress whatsoever. I went to the doctor yesterday and relayed my gastro-intestinal saga (I was mostly going to renew my pill prescription), and the doctor said, "Oh, that seems quite drastic! Let's do some blood tests" etc and I happily agreed,

"Don't have that test in the UK" wut even from a cursory Google I can see that's a lie! Although that's not to say it would be offered as readily as it would in the US I guess. I think it seems more like he was trying to fob you off. >.> Personally I'd probably just have accepted my fate and said goodbye to the gallbladder, lol!

I've also never had a blood test take that long to come back either! I've always been up to the Hallamshire to have them done, but I'm sure the results have been back in 3-5 days... Call them earlier anyway and see if they come back sooner!

Btw turns out I will be here Sunday after all woo! XD And also Monday if you still want to go for lunch or Meadowhall or something? :]

Right? Plus I'm really not sure what else they could possibly do to find out if there were gallbladder problems not involving gallstones...It seems pretty standard, is what I'm saying. I'm still almost certainly going to have it out, but I figured it would be a good idea to find out if the issues might be compound rather than as simple as I hope they are...just to be prepared, you know?

All right, I'm really displeased with that nurse, then. I mean, how on EARTH could it take that long? I hope they'll have something to tell me on Monday, then. Speaking of which, I'm totally interested in lunch/Meadowhall on Monday! Either way sounds pretty great to me :D And yay for Sunday! I kind of hope we try out the DevCat's roast, since it's so convenient and there's Saxon ciders...XD

Ugh doctors don't like it when you sound like you know what you're talking about, they like to be the ones with all the knowledge! That's very wise of you - though I do hope it IS simple and you don't face any further complications!

Yeah, you've nothing to lose by phoning them and asking on Monday (and Tuesday, and so on), even if they don't have them back! I'm really sure it's a faster turnaround than she told you!

I want to go to Schuh in Meadowhall as the one in town didn't have the only pair I liked in my size, lol. So shall we shop? :D And yes we should do the Dev Cat, if only to see what it's like, and we can enjoy the cider even if the food's not that great! ;)
