Dinner at Les Halles! This was Saturday night.

That dessert is commonly known as bananas Foster; it originated in New Orleans. I have a recipe for it kicking about, if you're interested.

Heeee, cool. I wonder why they didn't name it as such on the menu. Bourdain's American, but maybe he didn't want the specificity of naming it thus?

In theory, the restaurant that originated the recipe owns the name but it's used so widely I personally would say they've lost out on the privilege - if you don't defend it vigorously enough, an intellectual property right goes away.
