I'm pretty sure those aren't edible... tcepsa July 21 2008, 03:09:34 UTC
but aside from that, OoooOOOooo!

I already have more embedded programming widgets than I can use (an HC11 board and a PIC programmer... oh for a time turner) but it's been incredibly tempting to get one of those as well. I'm looking forward to reading more about your adventures with it ^_^

(also, if you design any holographic robots, can I see one?)

Wait, shinny but huh? I see naked hardware. What does said hardware do?

Whatever you want! if your desires are fairly modest. It's an Arduino prototyping kit. Lets you build programmable circuits in an extremely friendly environment. Is frakking awesome just for that.

I decided a while ago that I wanted to mod an air conditioner (which has a very old-school physical interface with an electric switch) to be on a variable cooling schedule, because I don't want to run my AC on high when I'm not home, but nor do I want to remember to turn it off. I'm going to use this for that, but dymaxion pointed out that I could go one better and give it a Web interface.

Ok, now that's just awesome. Careful, you'll give me ideas.

Can you turn it into an X10 interface? (new interest in X10 after inheriting some sensors)
