Last night dymaxion and I were walking home. Through Times Square, because we're masochists and hadn't been through there yet. I peered down a street, breezed past two girls in heels, and decided 30 yards was a perfectly safe distance to jaywalk in front of a cab. E pointed out that last week I probably would have hesitated just too long to make it.

Today I'm not sure if I'm leveling up at "hard-ass New Yorker" or "Chinese Communist Party functionary."
