SubEtha problem hasn't significantly gone away; after a short period of good behavior it's up to its usual tricks. I think stevenps might have been right about its handling of open files. But now I'm starting to have a LOT of problems saving files in OSX - anything involving a Save or Export window seems to induce a crash. OmniGraffle is the latest culprit ( Read more... )

oh, also. above !%#%@%#!!!!11one with graffle occurred on desktop, not involving thumb drive.

laptop has eval copy of graffle. this makes me a sad panda.

SubEthaEdit is my default text editor (never had any problems with it) only because I like the tools. I've /never/ used it for the collaborative editing mode, and this makes me sad. I wish there was a windows version, so I could use it with people at work.

It seems to just.. feel nicer. (there's my considered opinion as a UI geek, made lazy by a steady diet of MacOS.) BBedit has a *lot* of extras that, while useful, make it more complicated to set up.

I use the collaborative feature a lot in class, but we do at least as much horsing around and snarking about the professor as note-taking.
