You don't need a reason to have fun

Summary: Mao decides to throw an impromptu party because drinking is more fun when you have lots of people.

The party hadn't even started and already Melissa Mao had settled herself at the bar counter, happily nursing a bottle of beer. She'd been planning on having a little gathering for awhile, but with the latest bit of drama and woes shared in the city, now was a good time as ever to relax especially with the latest scuttlebutt beginning to drift around. Monsters from the wastelands trickling in? Greeeat. Just what they needed.
She hoped it wouldn't be like the last time but she had a feeling it most likely would be. However, at least now people had experience with the situation and could deal with it accordingly. There were still the newcomers to worry about, but ah well. They'd learn quickly enough and it wasn't as if there weren't people who'd be willing to watch over them.
There were some good people in the city, no doubt about that. Some of them reminded her of her companions back home. She took a long swig from the bottle and slammed it down on the table with a satisfied sigh. At the rate she was drinking, who knew how much there'd be left by the time the first person arrived.
