Equius needed to take a walk to clear his mind. When all of this madness began, his first order of business had been to find Nepeta and make sure she was safe. He ached at the chance to go out and prove his STRENGTH, but once he'd all but stuffed the tiny troll into the safe house, he realized that she wouldn't stay put without him.

After being sardined with so many humans for so long...

It was around this time that he'd noticed his spider-themed... Friend? Ex-neighbor. Thankfully for Vriska, she wouldn't have too much trouble putting on a tough face because the other blue blood had brought her ammo. Unlike last time, he was actually dressed more appropriately for the weather. Still not appropriately entirely, but more so than before since he'd thrown on a sweater before heading out. Chances are Nepeta forced him.

There was a quiet pause between recognizing her and actually speaking, "...Hello Vriska."

Vriska's upper lip curled slightly. Whether they'd been getting along better or not (she thought they kind of had?), he was definitely one of the poeple that she hadn't been looking forward to seeing. If he found out about her situation, he would be smug and mocking, and maybe even try to take advantage of it-- just like she would have, if the tables had been turned. It was the way of bluebloods.

Still, she wasn't going to run from this situation, no matter what it turned into.

"What do you want?"

She was still so wrapped up in her own woes (Does any other kid here have as bad luck as me? I doubt it! Life is hard and no one understands) that she didn't even notice the sweater at first.

So she chose to advance rather than abscond... Not that Equius was expecting her to abscond until now. Socially awkward, yes, but Equius wasn't an idiot. He'd picked up on the ratty coat, pot uh thing, and sour demeanor. Something was amiss here, though he didn't know exactly what.

Still, having Vriska at a disadvantage was a rare opportunity.

"Simply... Walking to clear my head," he mused as his arms folded over the blocky hoofbeast on his chest. Then, a bit more pointedly, "I could ask you the same thing. Busy?"

"Duh! What a stupid question. When am I not busy?" She tossed her head, shifting her grip on the pot. "I've been doing so much, you have no idea."
