This had to be it. Sailor Moon kept running. She kept her eyes focused ahead of her and tried to fight off the wave of nausea at how skewed everything in this part of the city looked.

She wasn't sure if she'd seen worse. Their enemies had managed to make a mess of the city before back home, but they hadn't managed to make it this... surreal. It didn't matter, of course; they had to keep going forward. She gave Mars only a quick, worried look out of the corner of her eye before she kept going. They'd gone on when one of them had been injured and weakened before now. They had to.

"Come on. That house must be it. Let's go in carefully; it may be a trap."

The closer Mars got to the location, the more she wanted to run away.

It was wrong -- and every ounce of pain, agony, grief, guilt, and despair that the girl had carefully been shoving away so she could focus on making this right again was dragged to the surface with every step she took toward the coordinates that Toushirou had given her. She was filled with self-loathing -- the pure simple hatred of her entire being that she almost never let get to her, but the city -- her home -- was being razed to the ground and it was her fault.

When she neared Sailor Moon, Mars was silent, her limbs shaking with the effort to keep walking forward, her eyes trained on the house, mouth slightly open in a constant ragged breathing. She wanted to leave, but she could not -- and her hands balled into fists as she stared into the doorway.

This is your fault. These people dying -- it's your fault. You could have stopped it. You could have done something else. You could have prevented a thousand deaths and kept a thousand people alive if you had only ( ... )

As soon as the pair step onto the ground, the wailing picks up and a feeling that someone is inviting and beckoning them inside flows outward. The doors swing open for them, though the strange lighting makes it difficult to see what lies ahead.

Whatever creature this territory belongs to, it knows that they are there.

Sailor Moon checks herself the moment the doors open. An invitation like that is never usually safe, and she's aware enough to know it. Well. She didn't come here to be safe. With a decisive nod to keep herself steeled to go forward, she turns partway back towards her companions.

"Mars, can your fire give us some more light?" In this eerie lighting, they're likely to miss whatever the trap was if they can't see clearly. "I don't know if we should stay here long enough for our eyes to adjust."

There has been too much death today, too many people he knows suffering because of the damn Animus. Inuyasha was sick of it, and he was determined to take them down a notch.

Now out on his own, the half-demon ran through the fire, seeking out the energy that had exploded earlier on in the day. The Tetsusaiga was clenched tightly in his hand, ready to cut down any enemy unfortunate enough to cross paths with him. The energy eventually lead him back to his own house, one of the Japanese buildings. What he found wasn't anything like his house, though. Instead the entire area was replaced with strange looking imitations.

This only made Inuyasha angrier. It wasn't that he had any particular attachment to the house, but seeing the enemy screw with something else that was his just helped to push him further over the edge. So without any hesitation, Inuyasha went into the witch's space. He was ready to put an end to this horrible day.

As he enters the house, the keening seems to come from one of the back rooms. If he could make it further in, he could find just what was making that sound.

This isn't much like his own house, though, as once he enters, it will become clear that its' purpose is conceal that creature. There are multiple halls branching off from the doorway, with many doors on each wall. It will take a while to get through all of this if he wandered blind.

Luckily, though, there seems to be another sound to direct him: the flapping of hundreds of wings, coming from the right-most hallway.

Ears swiveling around, Inuyasha quickly locked onto the sound of flapping wings. "Over there, are ya?" he growled to himself, running towards the noise with Tetsusaiga raised.

As Inuyasha gets closer, the sound increases until he enters the area where the sounds come from, when suddenly- they all go silent.

Huge, multicolored birds of prey perch on lamps, chairs, and doorframes. They seem to guard nests built of broken furniture, blankets, and bones- animal or human, it's impossible to tell from their state.

For a moment, they're stock still, but soon they turned to look at him, heads cocked curiously.

'Your move', their beady eyes seem to say.
