WHO: Lucifer and Snape
WHERE: The Lake!
WHEN: Extreme backdate to the Asylum Event.
WHAT: Lucifer wants anti-sleep potions for his sister and pet blind man.

It's a cold day, but Lucifer's breath doesn't even fog the air as he stands at the shore of the lake, waiting for one Severus Snape.

Snape decides to walk to the appointed meeting place, taking care to approach from a different direction than where his house is located. Not that knowing the general direction will help much with it being Secret Kept, but there's no point taking chances.

Especially not when it comes to the devil.

Yet here he is, wand tucked securely up his sleeve despite how wary he is about this meeting. It would not do to show Lucifer just how uncomfortable Snape is about this, not to mention that the wizard is pretty sure the archangel would not appreciate the gesture. So he approaches, the miniaturized box of potions tucked into one of his pockets. A favor for the devil, if one can even call it that, but the possible repercussions of doing otherwise far outweigh the minuscule possibility of the advantages.

"I almost thought you'd duck out on me, Severus." Lucifer doesn't turn to face him; he's too fixated on skipping pebbles across the lake.

"I haven't spoken to my brother, but I assume these potions helped him?" There's curiosity in his tone, and the faintest touch of gratitude. He's good at those subtle touches, just enough to make himself seem approachable. As approachable as a poisonous snake can be.

"I know better than to rescind on my word to you," Snape replies, his voice as quiet as it usually is, calm, without inflection. Indifferent, almost. Except not. Cautious, testing, observing. He's not without his own curiosity after all. "They seem to have as he did not contact me to notify me otherwise."

The gratitude is not discounted, but no weight is truly attached to it in Snape's mind as he returns the potions to their normal size. It would be better to not assume such things and have them turn out to be true than the other way around.

"Each potion is labeled and instructions are included in the box. I assumed that you would not need healing potions as well, but if I was mistaken..."

He can provide some, if it is so wished.

Finally he turns, watching him, and accepting the potions. He looks them over, and keeps them close to avoid accidentally dropping them.

"Actually, if you are offering, healing potions come in handy more often than you would think. If not for me, then for my brother." And a few others, carefully chosen minions and the like.

"You are a man of your word, but I'm not really sure why you gave it to me in the first place." Lucifer tilts his head, waiting for Snape to explain. "I mean, not that I'm ungrateful, but Castiel and I often stand on opposite sides. Is this your way of going Swiss for us?"
