Characters: twotimingmutt and OPEN Where: On the third Japanese house in the Northeast Quarter Rating: PG Summary: Inuyasha needs time to brood. The best place to do it? On top of his house, obviously. ( Aaaangst )
Miroku was returning home when his attention was drawn to the top of the house he was sharing with Inuyasha. He knew of Kagome returning home and of the situation involving Kikyo and Naraku. He shared an interesting conversation with Kikyo and he could understand her view of the relationship.
After a few minutes of figuring out how to get on top of the roof, he strolls next to his friend.
"Enjoying the view, Inuyasha?"
[ooc: I hope its okay that I'm just assuming that he's living with Inuyasha now. I'm almost considering dropping Miroku and apping as Kagome lol.]
[Miroku wouldn't have been surprised to know that Inuyasha heard him coming. Despite how strong of a character, he knew Inuyasha to be, he was worried about him. He shrugged his shoulder and looked around him.]
It was rather quiet that night -- until a little scuffling noise came up the side of a nearby tree, and a small white cat dropped onto the roof, padding over to investigate.
Inuyasha gave the cat a weird look when it suddenly appeared next to him. He had never seen it around before, but at least its appearance was a nice change to the demonic hell-cats he usually found roaming about.
"Hey there. What're you doin' all the way up here?" he asked it. Inuyasha lifted the cat up, looking it over curiously. He was so busy studying the cat that he almost missed the call coming from around his house.
She began purring like she had a motor stuck in there somewhere, utterly pleased with the attention. She was all white with dark grey eyes, and seemed completely content with being picked up and touched. Definitely belonged to someone.
She certainly was a friendly cat, much friendly than Kagome's anyway. Inuyasha was just about to get back into his old habit of stretching the cat out when the voice called out again.
Peering down over the edge of the roof, Inuyasha could make out a young boy searching around. "Hey kid. This your cat?" He held her out by the scruff of her neck, dangling her over the edge so that Al could see her.
Sango may have been off doing other things--she was busy these days, after all, between the forge and the greenhouse and her brother and training--but Miroku and Inuyasha did cross her mind often. Which was why she was here now with a basket over one arm, a couple packets of instant ramen and teabags piled in it.
Never mind that she probably looked horrible--lack of sleep and all. She chose to walk instead of riding Kirara because the chilly air and the movement kept her wider awake.
He glanced down, able to see his companion around the edge of the of the roof. Standing up, Inuyasha rolled his shoulders before leaping down to the ground. He touched down lightly and looked at her face.
"Tryin' not to sleep either, huh?" He forwent telling her how terrible she looked in order to peer into the basket she held. Upon seeing the ramen inside, his ears perked up.
"Just make sure not to push yourself too hard. Those dreams are tough, but they ain't worth dyin' over."
With a nod, Inuyasha folded his arms and started walking back into the house. Judging by Sango's exhaustion, he would probably be the on boiling the water and making the noodles in the end.

"What're you doin' up here?"
[OOC: That's fine. I was assuming that they'd be living together, anyway :)]

And then to rub against him.
Down the road came a faint voice, just calling.
"Kitty!"

And fine with his inhuman scent, to boot.
"Kitty?" Another call, just a bit closer.

She smiles a little as she sees him rummaging. "Come on, let's go inside and see if I can't avoid burning these, huh? It's cold."
And you are extra broody when Kagome's not around.
And with Kikyou's current "situation," well... yes. She had figured her favorite inu hanyou was in need of some company.
