[Yuma stepped through first, her tiny body letting her slip through ahead of the others. She looked around, taking in the surreal barrier around her.]

Kyoko, Sayaka-oneechan, which way should we go?

[ Sayaka had the advantage of seeing the witch before - but that's where it ends. She ended up right by the witch when the barrier was formed, so she had no knowledge about the path leading towards it. ]

I don't know where the right path is, but I can take a guess.

[ She consults her soul gem, looking at where the witch feels the strongest. ]

It's this way. ...Maybe.

[Kyoko was quick to follow, but she wasn't as worried looking as the other two. Arms behind her head, she eyed the bizarre barrier around her- it was strange seeing one. It almost felt familiar seeing one after all these months.]

Come one, you're the one who last fought a witch. You should know where it is!

[Giving a sort of snide look toward Sayaka, she passed her. She's almost keen on acting arrogant- It was easier acting this way towards her, at least.]

Come on, Yuma. Follow me.

KISSED BY THE WITCH - BY THE RIVER sweetsdespair November 2 2011, 02:48:36 UTC
HAD TO GET A LITTLE PROSY TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED redumption November 3 2011, 02:59:03 UTC
[Beat pauses at the edge of the river, looking out over it; other than the veil of fog lingering on it, it's pristine. He grins a little grin and crouches down on the bank to pick up a rock and skip it into the water.

He might have failed this time around; hurt and failed Rhyme, failed his parents, and he's pretty sure he failed as a partner too, but that's okay. Soon it'll all be better]

BEST PARTY EVER no not really tearsmythroat November 3 2011, 09:25:02 UTC
[Renji's never been the best. Good at some things, yes, but he's never truly been a master at anything, except perhaps stupid life decisions. And living through life like that, accepting that you'll always be a step below what others look up to, takes its toll.

It seems like today he just can't take it anymore. He could train and train like a madman starved for success, but he knows, especially now, that that just isn't his path anymore. No, now he's going to let everything go. He's not needed anyway, he only causes problems.

As he approaches the river, and nods his greeting to the man already there, Renji watches the water and wonders what it would be like to just walk in, submerge himself completely, and not listen to instinct when it came time to keep breathing.

It's weird, because he almost feels like that thought lifts the burdens of life off of his shoulders. It's almost...nice.]

[Jet thought he had come to terms with most of his past. Liked it? No, but accepted it. Katara and Sokka were constantly telling him he redeemed himself. Apparently, in the future, he really makes it up to them.

What a thought.

Yet he isn't able to see the future, only the past. Only the lives he's taken. The village he flooded. The soldier's he's killed. Then there are his parents. Would they even forgive him? Would they accepted what their son had become? Would they see justice in his action? It was the Fire Nation that had driven him to it-- at least that's what he's telling himself. He'd caused so much destruction how could one simple act fix it?

He exhales, subconsciously stuffing his hands in his pockets and walking toward the river. How had he even gotten here? He seems completely unaware of the men around him but, instead, focused on the rushing water. Maybe he died for a reason at home.]

[And when the witch is defeated, the mark will disappear and, exhausted, the victims will regain their senses.

Mami will be waiting.]
