As soon as she promised to find Lily, Usagi turned the communicator off and said three words, clearly and purposefully.

"Moon Eternal, Make-up!"

The energy of her transformation washed over her. White feathers coalesced into her sailor-suited uniform, and she was running at full speed towards the outskirts of the city to head to the Wastes.

The appearance was different enough that it would take a moment to realize it had to be her. Most of all, the soft white wings were nothing to do with the slightly klutzy and underachieving girl.

"Lily!" She called out the other woman's name as soon as she finally saw her.

Absolutely <3

Lily tensed at the call, whirling around to tell Usagi to hush. Honestly, the girl acted like she had never seen a battle or had to be wary in her life. She assumed that wasn't the case, but -

"Usagi?" she blinked, "What are you...wearing?"

And could it be anymore obvious?

They were going to die.

[buntails]

If only it were true. She's fought to protect herself, her friends, and her world, for thousands of years. It's something she never wanted, but something she can't turn away from.

She did at least hold her voice down as Lily hushed her.

"You said it'd be dangerous," she explained. This, evidently, related her to her clothes. (And the wings? Not cosplay.)

"Yes, I did. Is that why you decided to put on...wings?" Lily's eyebrows rose at the same time, "Can you fly?"

Because that would be helpful. At least Usagi could get out of danger if danger decided to cross their path and roar.
