Against his arm was Lady, who had meowed and followed him all the way to the door. Either she hadn't wanted to leave or she wanted to see D. Either way, he helped her and obliged her smallest of requests. He politely knocked and let himself in when he called, instantly taking in the scent of it.

He lifted his head and smiled politely. Everyone was acting so strange and he found it very amusing. "I am quite happy that you have not changed D."

Over his other arm was a sheet which kept the silk wrapped clothing secure and clean.

D set the stick he'd use to light the insence down by the bowl itself, after tapping the ash from the end, "As am I. Usually I am lucky to be out while most events are going on, however," but he couldn't leave for so long this time for certain reasons.

Such as the small animal clinging to his pantleg currently like a small child. A young flying monkey ha had taken in during one of his trips, it's family dead, and perhaps he may have left it there had there not been a dying wish from one of those parents.

"I see you've brought Miss Lady."

The scent was something interesting the way it tingled against his nose. He already had a heighten sense when it came to these things. Anything overly sweet or overly foul was especially that way. His fingers lifted slightly to his nose to gesture, though his eyes took in what was there. Lady's little nose was already sniffing as well and he curled against his arm, holding onto it.

His other hand extended with the garment in hand, "I have. She most likely wanted to see you." He had to admit his attention was on the small child. His scent wasn't familiar.

"Insence," giving a gesture to the metal ball holder of sorts where the smoke was drifting. It tended to smell sweet, and sometimes different from person to person. To him it smelled familiar, like home, "If it's too much for you I can put it out, but the animals tend to enjoy it."

D took the garment with a tilt of his head, glancing where Sebastian was looking briefly. The creature was staring at the demon with wide eyes, clinging more to the Count's pantleg with a sort of whimper-- he recognized him, even if it had only been a brief sighting.
