Hostages/Bodyguards any time, Tuesday morning with Madara? daath_vader August 31 2011, 03:05:56 UTC
Ion spent much of the time sitting or checking on the other hostages, hoping to offer conversation or some means of comfort to any of them that might be distressed. To the bodyguards he was polite and docile. To the other hostages he was kind.

For Madara though, he had a request. And he approached Madara the first chance he got.

Ion is little; both in apparent age and size. And kind. Maybe too kind, if she really thinks about it, but now was definitely not the time for that. Why did kids get messed up in this? Was it so difficult to stick to grown up hostages?

"... Ion, wasn't it?"

Ion sits next to Amy, smiling at her as if the whole ordeal isn't much on his mind. He certainly isn't crying or making a fuss, instead he just looks concerned.

"Yes." And genuinely happy, sort of like he's flattered she knows his name. "You're Amy, right? How are you doing?" He sounds interested, concerned for her welfare.

It wouldn't be hard to put on a brave face for an upset child- it's a little weird to have to react like this. Should she be straight then? The bravado will stay no matter what, but this kid doesn't seem to need an adult telling them everything'll be fine. His smile gets a little one in return, though.

"Amy, yeah. I'm fine- don't worry 'bout me." A beat. "You okay, too? Y'didn't get roughed up on the way over did you?"

Hostages and bodyguards - Rukia wants to plan a break-out~ juiceboxtopped August 31 2011, 03:15:14 UTC
Rukia did not take kindly to being taken hostage, apparently without a struggle. She hated his hypnosis ability, hated being in this room, and frankly, wanted out now. But she also had massive reserves of patience. She wasn't going to wait to be rescued. They could get out of here on their own... if they waited for the right time.

For now though... Figuring out who her fellow hostages were, what they could do and, most importantly, how they could get out, and maybe even break the bodyguards of their hypnosis... maybe.

IDK WHICH DAY BUT YEAH <3 haspaceteeth August 31 2011, 06:34:37 UTC
If there was one thing the hypnosis hadn't cured, it was the fact that the Doctor was, really, an incredibly social person. He never could ignore someone in danger, in need, even if he was one of the ones keeping them as such. It was a rather complicated situation, one that his head kept hurting over every now and then, but it really just meant that Rukia - the quiet one, the one who looked like she wasn't going to just sit still and let them get on with things - was catching his eye more and more as time went on.

Which was why, eventually, a shadow would fall over her, a smile on the Doctor's face by the time she looked up, one that didn't quite reach his eyes, his entire mentality shifted and addled thanks to Madara's hypnosis.

"Hello! Sorry about the accommodations. If it was up to me, the room would be equipped with a kitchen and carpets at the very least. With at least a few comfy chairs and fold-out sofas."

Whatever day works~ juiceboxtopped September 1 2011, 07:10:03 UTC
Rukia blinked at the sudden presence of Not a Hostage in front of her, her face settling swiftly into a sort of defiant neutrality. She may be stuck here for now, but she was not frightened of the bodyguards, nor of Madara, and so did not intend to betray anything of the sort physically. She didn't trust him smile, or his eyes, since they didn't match.

At his apology, she gave a glance around the small room, as if she had barely noticed it. And in truth, as anything more than someplace to be gotten out of. "It is adequate for its intended purpose," she replied, with a shrug. Of course, by intended purpose she meant prison, so...

It was embarrassing. Botan never thought she'd end up being someone's hostage like this. Realizing what happened, where she was- there was a kind of anger and irritation that seemed more than she's ever felt before. Some of it towards herself. Hypnosis or no, it felt like she should have been able to simply question the things that led her to this room. It was just so easy to rage and rant, and Botan didn't want easy.

So she sat against a wall, eyes closed and trying to concentrate. Think of something, anything, that she could bring to help out. Eventually she tried focusing on the energy of the people she knew, trying to reach out for their minds. After a while of not getting much success, her eyes opened with the same level of concentration.

Now she kept picking up on Amy. 'It's so much harder when you can't see the person,' she thought to herself. Back to step one; gather info on what she could. Which meant the other hostages that were here. Save for Amy, she didn't know the others. Some felt like normal humans, others a bit more ( ... )

Hostages/Bodyguards whenever, Madara on Wednesday? hatebeingright August 31 2011, 05:15:19 UTC
Amy liked to think she could take care of herself on a good day- hell, even on a bad day. But hypnosis wasn't exactly something she'd been expecting. Nor something she'd ever really been up against before. So when she'd finally snapped out of it, found herself in a creepy room full of half a dozen other 'hostages'... One could imagine the indignity she'd felt. At least at first.

There was a bit of panic there- It wasn't like this was the first time she'd gotten in trouble, gotten kidnapped, although she's glad it's a relatively normal looking room and not some underground box or a room high in a tower. The draft had been horrible. The window was far too small to even think of sneaking out of- except maybe for the littler hostage; Ion? Rukia maybe? She'd heard names by now. She herself was much too big for the window. Heck, she practically towered over everyone anyway. But she was antsy. There were kids in here, and that damned.. Midori or whatever his name was-- Madara. He was nowhere to be seen. No one, was anywhere to be seen. ( ... )

The realization that someone took control of your actions and reasoning was... embarrassing, in a way. Not to mention frustrating that she never thought of working on defenses against such a thing. Despite having been working in dangerous cases for less than a year, no one had actually tried to take her hostage. Sure, there was the risk of getting seriously injured if not worse, but no one had taken her before. Until now, and there were going to be some people that wouldn't know about that if they showed up. Still, after the chaos of getting through the realization of the first day, her focuses changed a little ( ... )

It's still weird to see blue hair on a girl. Or at least.. So naturally. And pink eyes? It was better than any Halloween costume she'd ever seen. But back to the point- She'd spoken to this girl before hadn't she... Botan. Not in person, but video worked just as well.

And she'll not be sorry for the pacing. She'd only get antsier if she stood still for too long, after all. "I'd love to give'm a bit of what-for." She mumbled, arms crossing as the younger looking girl piped up. Rory would notice right away... And he'd have gotten the Doctor. And yet neither were here; no message, no threats, no signals.. Nothing.

"Why would they do that, though? The Animus. Just.. Go along with what he wanted? That Madara git, he wants control of the city of something- but the Animus just want us out, don't they?" She'd heard things, but that didn't really make them true, of course. Ugh, she could really go for a sonic right about now; First thing to ask when she sees the Doctor next.

"As would we all, I'm sure," she said.

Thing was, now that she could, Amy was bringing up questions that some part of her hinted towards underneath the frustration and focusing on getting out. Why was such a big question, asked so much and gave so much information. Thinking for a bit, the 'girl' bit down at her lip before shaking her head.

"The Animus can't be considered to have the same intentions and desires. He must have appealed to an aspect. I've met Thallate, and they wouldn't have gone along with things like this," she started off reasoning, knowing that she was referring to a single fish in plural form. "Some are curious, want friends, but also feel like it's better, safer, to stay in the background. It stands to reason that there's one, one group, that felt like Madara's wishes were... convenient. It'd be easier to know if we knew who joined with that guy."

[[And I think during the fishy event, Amy was invited to Botan's to try out the whole 'turning normal in a dry house' thing. I can't remember for sure.]]

Hostages/Bodyguards/MADARA (yeah I went there) Wednesday Morning ~ thewinterdoe August 31 2011, 07:22:44 UTC
She felt...numb. Even when she was free of Madara's control, she couldn't bring herself to think about anything in particular. Harry was gone. James was gone. Her parents were gone. Petunia wasn't speaking to her anymore - and that wouldn't change even if she was here. All she had were memories and bits and pieces.

Closing her eyes tiredly, the once vibrant witch pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on top of them. After a long period of silence, Lily summoned enough energy to stand up. As she did so, she placed a hand against the wall.

"Hello? Is everyone alright?" she frowned at the gloom, wishing she had a wand more than ever, "If anyone's hurt, I can...help you."

She wasn't a Healer, but there were some healing spells that could be utilized wandlessly. It was tiring to heal that way, of course. Still, Lily refused to let someone suffer in captivity. She had spent enough time lost in her own pain. It was time she did something useful.

Another day in this place, though the spirit guide hoped that would change later in the day. She stayed sitting against the wall right now, busy with various thoughts until the woman spoke up. Looking up from where she was, her eyes tried focusing a bit more. It wasn't the dark that she was trying to see through though, but something else.

Something about the woman was... fleeting. Botan couldn't figure out what exactly, but she seemed to have something about her energy that was higher than an average human. She noticed it earlier, but for some reason was contemplating it more now.

"I'm fine..." After a couple more seconds of silence, curiosity won through. "Are you a psychic healer?"

It had been two days since he had taken control of the city, and so far things were running smoothly. No one had planned any escapes from the inside and those on the outside, well it seemed like they were smart enough to heed his warning about trying to rescue their loved ones.

With the Animus sealed inside of him, Madara knew that he was invisible and that nothing could take him down. Even without the precautions he had made his his new guards and the hostages, he knew that no one would be able to take him down.

The sun had just risen in the sky when he went to check on the hostages that morning. The affects of any hypnosis would have worn off by this point and, despite how unruly some could be, the hostages did provide him with a small amount of entertainment.

"So the little witch is a healer. Who would have thought."

Hostages/Bodyguards/Tobi (and what? :P) Wednsday or Thursday-- genkireaper August 31 2011, 07:57:35 UTC
[[When desperation and slight cabin fever mix together; Only wonderful things can happen from this!]]

The first day was mostly one of shock, and trying to reach out. Now with another day passing, Botan was increasingly getting antsy with the feeling like she should do something. To be able to do more than heal and float about. While it would help if anyone got hurt, she couldn't actually help in an attempt to get out. Not with a bat alone, and definitely not a bat against the Animus (and the guy housing them ( ... )

It was during one of her jittery episodes that Ion first approached her, a blanket slung over his arm. He was trying to get to know the others, speak to them to help calm any nerves. Hostage situations were old hat for him, but he was worried still, about everyone else, about the effects on Madara's mind of the power he was using, about a lot of things. The worry didn't show.

He approached Botan with a calm smile, stood close enough to greet her without being intrusive.

"Hello. Are you alright?" Just checking up.

Being jittery, the first reaction to the question was a sharp 'hm?' that came with the ferry girl jumping just a bit. Nervously laughing, purposefully with some volume, she rubbed the back of her head with one hand. "Me? Of course, of course!"

The other hand shook off, almost dismissively in appearance but an action that helped shake away the energy, and thoughts, for the time being. Calming down, she spared only a glance towards the tiny window in decision. Releasing a breath, she admitted, "it's frustrating when you can't do anything, or know you won't be able to when some situations come up."

Ion watched calmly as Botan shook off the nerves or the energy, laughed too loud to be real. He just nodded in understanding, holding out the folded blanket in silent offering, in case she wanted it. It wouldn't do for anyone to get sick while they were all captive.

"Yes." He smiled a little sadly, completely understanding. "I understand. It is frustrating." He invited himself a step closer, sat down nearby, legs folded neatly beside himself. "You seem full of energy. Does this situation not scare you?" He was genuinely curious.
