And after seeing the altercation on the PCD and desperately looking for the scene of the fight, Katara was certainly stupid enough. She hadn't been expecting to run across him, hadn't expected luck or chance to play the cards like that, but there he was - walking the streets in flames.

She grabbed a handful of water, flinging it toward his feet in spikes of ice.

"Why did you hurt him like that?"

Her voice was low, gravelly.

Rin stares at Katara when she appears, not moving when she bends the water around and throws it his way. The ice didn't stop or scare him either and rather provoked him further. He wouldn't answer with the vocal response she looked for; instead letting a guttural snarl escape his throat.

With a lash of his tail flames spread out and melted the ice spears within a matter of seconds. She's got his attention unfortunately.

Part of her - the part that still responds to sense - panics when the ice melts almost immediately. Fire that isn't quenched by water; this is going to be dangerous.

But then the part of her that's incited by the anger, the sheer rage polluting the air wins out; she winds a whip of water around her hand, lashing out hard at Rin's feet, trying to trip him up.

"Answer me!"

She'd be glad to know the sting of her whip knocked his feet out from under him. He'd felt worse, so the blow doesn't phase him for long. Instinct and the need for destruction was all he could feel now.

Rin returns to his feet in a matter of moments, having finally decided Katara was no longer a passing shadow and instead an able target. He had no control of where his flames would go if he tried to use them to reach her, so with his sword held in one hand he rushes towards Katara. Once close enough he would lash out with his free hand, to try and throw her against the vacant building beside them.

Trails of destruction, blood, and burnt objects--it isn't hard to track Rin down. Sango's only seen the blue flames once before, and that was when he was blisteringly angry.

It stands to reason that the same thing has happened, and Sango can hardly blame the kid. He lost three at once, on top of the strange, anger-inspiring atmosphere...

She's reminded, ironically, of InuYasha losing control. Can she even talk sense into him at this point...? And it's not like her relationship with Rin is anything like InuYasha and Kagome's.

Finally she sees him, surrounded by the flames, and grits her teeth. "Come on, Kirara," she tells the cat she's riding on, urging the restless demon onward. "Looks like we are going to get a chance to get ourselves killed..."

Sango was looking for an inexperienced demon who left a trail large enough one would have to be blind to miss it. She'd find Rin in no time, at the epicenter of the destruction. He seemed to be shaken, or dizzy from a previous encounter, but still enraged never the less.

One could guess it was from the pain of losing his family, or being betrayed by a friend, but at this point 'Rin'' wasn't even there anymore. His body and voice were the only proof of otherwise. He had no skill in sensing other demons though, so until Sango and Kirara got closer he wouldn't be able to detect their position. In the mean time he'll continue to search around in the destruction for his previous prey.

There's no use hesitating, no use waiting. Sango, though bruised and aching from her encounter with Riku, unslings Hiraikotsu from her back for the second time that day.

"Rin!"

If he can be saved the way Kagome saves InuYasha, then great. But at this point--

At this point, Sango doubts it.

It must have been reflex to respond to the name, because he looks her way. He had no special interest in Sango however, and rather kept his eyes fixed on the ever approaching Kirara.

Rather than wait for the two to get any closer, Rin takes a running leap and aims to tackle the demon cat out of the sky. Taking a wide swing with his blade at them both, flames spreading from the motion.

Tsuna was out of it. Completely.

Chaos, chaos...

Hypnotized, full of seething wrath from Sonja, and with all his temptations and fears amped up to eleven by Lucifer, the boy was in terrible mental shape at the moment. He, luckily, hadn't yet gone into Hyper Dying Will mode- he still had enough of his sense of self to restrain himself from that. At his core, he knew that in his state, he would likely hurt someone if he went into Hyper Dying Will mode. However, his hand kept twitching towards his pocket where he kept his pills. Slowly, he was beginning to wonder why it was so important not to hurt the people here. After all, he was supposed to destroy. Wreak mayhem. Master told him to wreak mayhem. For now, he was simply stumbling along, arms wrapped around his torso, eyes glazed, mouth twisted into a half snarl, half smile. It was hard to tell if the boy was on the verge of screaming or of laughing ( ... )

The sound of crashing glass would echo behind Tsuna from a few buildings behind the one he'd thrown the metal through. What was different of course is that a large countertop had been thrown from the inside of the building out into the street ( ... )

Tsuna surveyed Rin through those glazed, fearful eyes of his. Ordinarily the sight of the other in such a state would have disturbed him deeply, but as it was, in his own hypnotized and mentally twisted state, he only raised his eyebrows, that strangled looking grin of his widening before he swallowed down two of the pills from the container in his pocket. Chaos.

Flames of his own erupted on his forehead and from his hands, the mittens having morphed into a pair of flame shrouded red gloves. Orange eyes blinked coolly at Rin- for such a warm color, they were very cold at the moment. Almost unseeing.

Discharging flames from his hands to propel him into flight, he dodged the flames sent in his direction, seemingly unconcerned- and sent a short, quick burst of his own orange sky flames right back at Rin. An automatic retaliation more than anything else. He didn't really expect it to hit. And even if it did, he rather thought that this was not an opponent who would go down from anything but serious fighting ( ... )

Tsuna's own flames igniting excited Rin, he let the blow hit him dead center, and while his shirt burned away from the different type of fire hitting him, it wasn't until the flames touched his bare skin that he felt any pain. A strangled yelp comes from the boy as he desperately scratches at the part where the flames had touched. It felt like holy water was trying to dig through his skin, but the more his own blue flames spread on his body the quicker the pain faded ( ... )

Demonic aura. Again. She could sense it close to her. But it was different from Sonja's aura. And strangely familiar. Somehow similar to her own.

Raven stopped mid-air to look down at the source of this aura. And she saw... a monster, a demon covered in flames. At first, she didn't reconize Rin. But she could have sworn she had met him before.

Eventually what occurred to Raven was that if no one came to stop him, he might burn down the whole city. And that just angered her more than she already was. Because she had other things to do. But she was still a superhero at heart and she couldn't let him.

"Hey, down there!" She shouted at him.

By now Rin's fought with a few people and he's slipped into auto-attack. At Raven's call his senses are on high alert and he's searching for where her voice came from.

When the feeling of her aura hits him though, it sends a chill through his spine. Despite all the fires surrounding him and creating their own waves of demonic energy, hers was the first he'd felt while in this form. He looks up into the sky where she stayed and snarled lowly. A lash of his tail, and another wave of flames fan out further into the buildings he was nearest.

And suddenly, she remembered where she'd sensed that aura before. Only once since her arrival in Adstring. The day she met Rin. Her eyes narrowed.

"...Rin?"

She knew he had demonic powers but she had no idea he could turn into a demon like this. She wondered if he was still conscious of what was going on. Or if he recognized her. But she didn't have time to think much about it. The fire was already spreading to yet another building.

"Wanna fight me? Gotta catch me first."

He did seem eager to fight and so she started flying away towards the outskirts of town where he would make less damage. She looked back over her shoulder to make sure he was following her.

He'll follow alright, by way of scaling to the top of one of the many burning buildings and leaping from the tops. After having dealt with Sango he was anticipant of airborne enemies and how to take them down. Still Raven stirred a more primal instinct in him than any of the others he'd dealt with today.

She was a demon like him, and though he couldn't understand it because of what she was he wouldn't be able to stop the need he had to fight her.

Once at the roof top, on the last building before the edge of the city, he throws a blast of flames her way, much like an extension of his arm, to swipe her out of the sky. Because if he could pin her, he could hurt her.
