The backlash from trying to possess Tsuna had mostly subsided, and having a place to rest that was more or less safe had helped a lot. Mukuro felt better - physically, at least. His mental state was a little more precarious. For whatever reason, he couldn't get over his anger at Tsuna, at himself, at the world. It was all just so pathetic and sickening, everyone was so selfish.

Even Frau, who'd found him and taken him in - he would never have done that if he'd known the kind of person Mukuro really was. He didn't seem like a fool, but it was obvious that he was one.

And Mukuro had decided to teach him a lesson. It was charity, really. Frau needed to learn that you shouldn't trust anyone, that you shouldn't be kind, because everyone was really out for themselves. Of course, it wasn't only charity. Frau was strong, Mukuro had seen that, and possessing him would grant a certain amount of security.

"Frau," he called out, fairly sure the other man was somewhere nearby.

Oh Mukuro, you probably wouldn't ever really understand where Frau stood with other people and why he did, but maybe one day he would try to show you that not all people who cared for others were morons. Although he would admit to being a bit of a fool when it came to Mukuro. For some reason he just...didn't care about watching out for himself. It was something he couldn't understand and wouldn't be able to explain if ever asked.

He looked up when he heard his name being called. That was definitely Mukuro's voice. Had he realized that Frau had been checking up on him? He took a couple seconds before pushing open the door. Something about the vibe in the room told him to leave, but he moved a little closer anyway.

"Yeah Mukuro?"

"I wanted to see you. And I wanted to thank you for taking me in." Mukuro smiled. He didn't need Frau nearby to do this, but he wanted to see that look of betrayal when Frau realized what was going on. It wouldn't make Mukuro happy, not really - but it would give him a sick sense of satisfaction to see Frau learn the truth about the kind of person Mukuro was.

Frau had been too kind to him, for too little reason. It bothered Mukuro, especially after what had happened with Tsuna, and so it was really best that he ruined this. Whatever 'this' was.

Without saying anything else, he reached out, letting go of his body, letting it fall back on Frau's bed. And then, in an instant, he was inside Frau's head.

"Yeah, no problem." Something about the way Mukuro said that made his stomach drop. Whatever this was, it wasn't happening. Please let it not be happening. Under his nonchalant exterior, if Mukuro looked hard enough, he might be able to see what was underneath. Fear, a little confusion, and desperation. That inkling he got the second he met Mukuro was flaring to life once more.

He only had a moment between seeing Mukuro's body start to fall and feeling the intrusion in his mind. He staggered back and slid down against the wall. The last place he wanted Mukuro was in his head.

If Frau's mind could be transformed into a place, it would be dimly lit and mostly dark with staircase after useless fallen staircase leading into the darkness. In fact, it would be what Mukuro saw. Mukuro would have to find his way to the center before seeing and possibly controlling what was really inside of the man he was trying to inhabit.

"Don't Mukuro. Turn back." Despite the likely distance between the two of them, Frau's voice echoed off of the walls.
