When he got the request from Sonja to come out swimming he hadn't exactly jumped for joy. He was still hesitant about her and going out today had meant being alone with her, which was risky business if Sam ever saw it. But he came anyway, his curiosity getting the better of him. They're back and forth joking had been interesting if not a little refreshing. Watching her come out of the dark corner after scaring the fish, only one thing came to his mind. Ursula. Which would have been a sign, if he really believed in those anymore. Instead he just thought she was too attractive to be the old sea witch from a children's movie.

"Kinda makes me wonder if the animals here got confused when everything changed."

"Being bereft of higher reasoning should make it simple." Sonja really did take too much pleasure in just swimming, the simple act of moving her body and turning over in the water. Honestly, she would have genuinely loved for the event to never end. It was a moment before she righted herself again and looked at Sam, spiraling away towards a jagged, broken window. "The rewiring of neurons and brain mapping with instincts to match."

"Yeah, I suppose. And the same general instincts are similar, if not the same." Sam liked the whole event, but he would be very grateful when he could walk on his own two legs again. For a moment he was too caught up in his thoughts of what he was going to do when he was on land again that he didn't notice Sonja going for the window. But he saw and he followed, "Hey! Be careful!"

She kept corkscrewing right until he grabbed her arm, at which she swiveled abruptly to come chest to chest with him and stopping, which was his original goal. "Please. I'm always careful."

A tentacle reached out to feel delicately along the windowsill: there was a frame on with panes of broken glass, but without the frame it'd be big enough for both of them to get through. The tentacle was very cautious, stopping as it came to glass, and she tore her eyes away from his after a moment to look at it. "Sam," she said thoughtfully, leaning in to look (bringing her a bit closer to him accidentally~). "Help me rip this frame out."
