Lucifer is sitting at the new, so far unsullied kitchen table. He drums his fingers now and again on the surface, working out kinks of energy in a way that seems utterly fluid and calm.

"Did he own the hotel?"

[mister_hatter]

"I don't think so. The answer says something about a monopoly?"

Jokes from after his time, apparently.

And from outside Lucifer's expertise. He's familiar with the name and the slang that's been stolen from it (Do Not Pass Go, and the like). But overall it escapes him.

He gets up and paces over, absently thumbing through until he hits a page, seemingly at random.

"There are six eggs in the basket. Six people each take one of the eggs. How can it be that one egg is left in the basket?"

"The last one took the basket."

He tells him.

"Let me do it- the point of this is to practice me reading."
