Ray had few illusions as to his role as escort. There wasn't likely to be any real danger at this carnival, not from what he'd seen earlier with Raven. So it would just be a matter of following along, and providing 'money' and a strong back.

He arrived and gave a brisk knock on the door. "Madame Unohana? "

That, as it happens, was exactly what Unohana needed. She was on her feet an opening the door almost as soon as she heard the knock.

"Ray-san. Thank you for coming. May I offer you something to drink?"

"Please, just Ray. Titles of any sort do not suit me." He gave her a smile and shook his head slightly. "Thank you for the offer, but I am fine. Shall we go?"

"Gladly."

She stepped out and closed the door behind her, although she did not lock it. There was a flash of a subdued golden light against the door, though, something so quick that it might have gone unnoticed in the waning daylight.

"I was planning to buy some candy fro some of the people I know, but since you are so kind as to help me, I shall want to treat you as well. If you see something you would like, do not hesitate."
