Whether or not this was something barely tolerated, Botan was either oblivious towards or completely ignoring. Especially with the way the young woman beamed a bright smile to him before getting a few of the drinks poured.

"I figured you probably had plenty of pizza and bacon dogs," really the latter seemed... disgustingly unhealthy. To each their own, and maybe, just maybe, she'll try one of them. For the moment, she picked up one of the stick skewers with the mitarashi odango and offered it to Death. "It seemed like an opportunity to see what other foods you'd like as well."

Jr. had been snacking all day, but that didn't mean he wasn't up for some free food. Half full bag of cotton candy in hand, he landed next to the table with a grin. Not just free food, but also a chance to meet more people. It really did almost make up for the previous two weeks, as much as it always made him feel uncomfortable to not have a voice in the back of his head.

Eager as he was, though, he didn't quite forget his manners, and waved over to Botan as soon as he spotted her. "Hey, thanks for the food!"

Thus came the first person to prove, in front of Botan at least, that Death won't scare people away from joining in a lunch. Even more, it gave another opportunity for people to meet new faces. She was still getting a few things set up on the table, mostly plates and napkins, when giving the first not-Death arrival a smile.

"I hope it's all good. I was really surprised when they accepted the rocks and pieces of metal! It was mentioned before, but seemed like a fluke until I tried it myself."

He grabbed a funnel cake off the table and shrugged.

"They're probably not actually real people. They can't really hold a conversation, so they probably don't even notice it's not real money, either."
