Lucifer was still looking for Michael, despite people telling him that he was probably injured or dead. He couldn't quite wrap his head around the idea that Michael, his older brother, the one who had kicked him out of Heaven, could lose.

He kept Break nearby because he needed another set of senses, but he was becoming increasingly worried. A worried Devil was not good for anyone.

Break is getting more and more quiet. He wants to reassure him, but-

"We haven't checked that building."

Lucifer looks at it, and tries to sense what's inside and can't. He keeps hold of Break and suddenly they're inside--he can still fly, at least.

It's almost completely dark inside, and he has to wait a few seconds for his vessel's eyes to adjust.

"We'll work our way down," he says. "every room."

It's disorienting, to say the least, but he grabs Lucifer's arm and hangs on.
