Hawke was plunged in darkness, but he didn't panic. The Tunnels in the Mountain were pitch black, and he would travel them with his classmate and spirit brother, Roo. It was not a difficult transition to rely on his other senses to figure out his surroundings. The Kirin were more in tune with their other senses then humans themselves. The thing that was a little disconcerting was the earth bending. This was something he wasn't used to and he was nervous about it.

With his newly found earthbending, Hawke could feel everything around him in great detail. The ground was felt in amazing detail and it was almost as if he could feel every single crack in the ground. Every time he took another step, the feeling of him extending his senses would be renewed again.

It's a strange feeling, but not something that was completely frightening. He new other people who traveled in this manner and it felt to be an honor to be able to experience the way his loved ones did.

He walked slowly, lifting a hand up when an obstacle would come into 'view.' He used the rest of his senses to try to figure out what those things were and gave a little smile when the object became known to him.

The objects are all sitting around in a sort of circle around a campfire. Each of the items sitting around were clear for viewing and, from where he was, Hawke most likely could feel exactly what they were by their shapes. Though if he wanted to examine something closer, he would have to go and touch it.

Sorry Spike, there isn't anyone to respond to that.

At least, not yet. The moment Spike reaches the stone wall, the feeling of several people approaching him can be felt through his newly found earthbending abilities. He may also realized that they're much bigger than he is, so either they are giants...or he's much smaller now. It doesn't take long for the men to reach him.

"Toph, there you are...your parents were beginning to worry," one of the men says as he places a hand on Spike's shoulder. "You know you're not allowed outside of the compound. Here, let me escort you back inside."

The man doesn't seem to mind the comment, or he didn't hear it, because he begins to walk back inside the compound, guiding Spike (or Toph) back inside. The landscape changes slightly and Spike will start being able to feel a large, intricate garden. Every tree to even the smallest ant making its way across the count can be felt by him.

But they don't linger outside for long before entering the big, wooden building in the center of yard. Once Spike sets foot on the wood, the "vision" he has becomes a bit more limited, though it is still there. Nearly the moment Spike is lead inside, he's pulled into a hug (though it could be Spike's feelings, or perhaps Toph's, but the hug is clearly unwanted).

"Oh Toph..." A woman's voice nearly sobs out. "Please don't scare my like that again."

"Now Toph," Another voice, a more stern one, can be heard. "You know you're not allowed outside the compound. It's far too dangerous for you to be out there alone."

Being an earthbender is weird.

"Dammit," Zuko curses underneath his breath as he runs into several walls, trying to find his way around the place without killing anyone or anything. His firebending is not working -- and he can't operate earthbending properly yet because he isn't one.

This is all Toph's fault. All of it. And he will never let her forget it.

Not her fault you stumbled upon her dreams, Zuzu.

If you hit that wall, it means that you're right by the Bei Fong compound. It doesn't take the guards long to find Zuko and they immediately rush to Toph's side and the leader places a gentle hand on his (her?) shoulder.

"Toph, it's too dangerous for you to be outside. And you know your parents have forbidden you from leaving for your safety. Let's get you back inside."

And with that, you are lead inside of the stone walls.

Zuko tries to shrug off the shoulder instinctively -- he hates being blind -- but it doesn't work very well. Instead, he's lead inside, while he's grumbling all the while.
