Of all the things he'd seen so far, just a house was perhaps the last thing Jotaro might have expected. He didn't expect "just" anything. Chaos, dangers, secrets... a house could hold anything, really. But this one...
It was just a house. He became more and more sure of it as he walked into and around the yard, pausing to stare at the swing. Just a house. Peaceful, calm and clean. Who in Adstringendum could possibly have a mind like that?
Fascinated, attracted by that very simplicity, he carefully pushed the door open.
Upon walking into the home, Jotaro will notice that (for the moment) that it seems to be empty of anyone else. Though, despite this, there's the smell something delicious cooking (perhaps stew of some sort) coming from the kitchen and if he were to listen carefully, the sound of laughing children can be heard from upstairs.
If he would like to explore more, he will have to make his way carefully through a small minefield of toys before being able to reach the rest of the house.
In Jotaro's mind, this is simply too good to be true. He's cautious and guarded as he walks in, despite the silence, the smell, despite the - children? There are children in here? It's perfect, but that could just mean that the trap is an exceptionally good one...
Luckily he has some experience wading through a sea of toys. Slowly, making as little noise as a man his size can really, he walks to the stairs to glance up them.
Once he reaches the boys' room, he'll be greeted with a memory.
Inside the room are the Elric brothers, both very clearly younger than they are in Adstringendum. They're playing some sort of pretend game that boys tend to play when they're little. Blankets tied around their necks as capes, small swords carved out of wood, bouncing from their bed and onto the ground. They're clearly having a lot of fun in their play time.
A few minutes pass as the boys continue to play before Trisha walks into the room and stands in the doorway.
"Are my little knights ready for some lunch?"
The two bothers stop playing for a moment and, after a quick glance at each other, they nod and run over to Trisha, swords still in hand. With their free hand, they each latch onto one of Trisha's hands. They walk together out of the room and their discussions of lunch fade into the background as the memory fades.
The wind begins to blow softly, making the swing hanging from the tree sway ever so slightly in its breeze. The smell of something being cooked (perhaps Edward's favorite stew) can be smelled due to an open window. The house is welcoming, as usual, and somehow seems to be beckoning Edward to come in again.
It's not as if he'd ever get the chance to explore this home again.
He walks in, almost shaking as he looks at all of the walls, the marks in the floor, his old home. He doesn't know what to make of it, since he rarely dreams of the house itself. Most of his dreams are in the basement.
If Edward listens close enough, he might be able to hear Trisha (or at least a memory she has) humming a song in the kitchen. Or perhaps he can hear the sounds of children playing upstairs in their room. And while there is no noise coming from the room, a light shines softly through the crack under the door to Hohenheim's office.
