Characters: Jack, Teal'c, Ra, and Usagi
When: During Family Bonding event. Dinner visit!
Where: Jack and Teal'c's cabin
Rating: Hard to say. PG-13? The boys don't like each other.
Summary: Ra has promised to visit the family. Two out of three think this is a bad idea.
Post Order: Usagi -> Ra -> Jack -> Teal'c

Rebellious children were so troublesome to deal with.

The door was opened for him and he looked about the cabin with distaste. How anyone lived in such a place was beyond him. It was simply appalling. But like their mother they had rebelled against him, so this was punishment for that.

He turned his eyes on Usagi, looking her up a down. A human female, but perhaps useful. "They are not here to greet me properly, I am most disappointed...." he comments after a moment but a slight smirk hovered on his lips. He knew the Jaffa and the Tau'ri would be here.

There was no way he was going to go greet his father at the door like some mindless servant. Ra'd had plenty of those back home. Here? This was Jack and Teal'c's home. Nope, no sir-ee, no servants here. And there never would be, if Jack had anything to say about it. Instead, he waited in the living room of the cabin, leaning back comfortably in the armchair. His father would get in there soon enough, and until the proverbial shooting began, he was going to enjoy himself in his own home.

The sound of the door creaking open, followed by the sound of Ra's voice, prompted Jack to take a swig of the beer bottle in his hand. Not too much, not around the kids, but- he was going to need it for the upcoming 'discussion.'

"In here, Dad."

This was going to be a difficult evening. She wasn't clueless. She could hear that loaded 'dad', she could see the tension in Jack all day - and in Teal'c, too.

Usagi convinced herself that at least everyone was trying. After all, they were all here gathered together. They were still family. Right. That was a good mantra.

"Come in," she said to Ra, far more pleasantly than the others were likely to say it. She led the way back into the other room.
