Kamui had been in the kitchen for most day. Not really cooking a whole lot but generally taking a look at where everything was and how much was left. He'd also wanted to make sure that he wouldn't bump into a certain guest and his cat, they hadn't got off to a good start and right now only had a rocky truce.
A noise caught his attention from another part of the clinic. Whatever it was it certainly wasn't the blasted cat, it had already been downstairs for the day and had gone back upstairs quite a while ago. If he hadn't been expecting anything to turn up he'd have put the noise off as imagination and stay where he was. That wasn't the case.
He stopped his rather meaningless task and went to search for the origin of the sound. He didn't have to look very hard. Kamui knelt down next to the strange creature, why it had fallen asleep in the hallway was a mystery. Before even allowing his mind to say stop he lightly poked the creature.
Skyler nearly hit the ceiling from the simple touch. Too many runins with enemy Pokemon and sleep traps could do wonders for a person. The flame on his rear blazed to life since he was no longer asleep. Remembering where he was, he composed himself and looked at the boy who'd poked him. "Hello," he said with a small wave. Once again he didn't expect to be understood, but he had to say something right?
He pulled back his hand sharply before raising both up in front of him. "Sorry." He said with an apologetic look, "Didn't mean to scare you."
Kamui sat back on his heels, as close to eye level with the creature as possible. At one point he might have been freaked out by a strange being showing up, after the months he'd been stuck in the place he was used to it by now. He tilted his head slightly with a still apologetic look, he couldn't understand what it was saying but he could get the general idea from it's action. "Hello." He replied, "I'm sorry I can't really understand you."
Skyler nodded, of course able to understand him, and pulled out his PCD. "I'm Skyler...You had said that I could find a room here?" he punched into the device, assuming this was the one he'd spoken to. He very much hoped he was the right person. Adjusting the Goggle Specs on his head, the fire-type waited nervously.
