Katara was on her way toward the designated dueling area, dressed in a slightly bulky parka but moving easily through the snow. Her eyes were narrowed, hand lifted to her brow to help cut through the glare of the snow, obviously looking for Horst -- but she wasn't staring up into the trees.
Horst waited in utter silence until she was close, and then he threw the snowball at her. He opened his mouth, then realized he had nothing suitable to say.
"Is there an appropriate battle cry for this kind of thing?"
The snowball hit her arm and she jumped in surprise, staring up at Horst and then laughing out loud. "I don't think so, but trying to ambush me? Are you that scared of me?"
She shook her head with a grin, leaning down to scoop some snow into her own hands, patting it into a ball. "You don't have any sort of fire-powers, do you? Just a normal, everyday vampire?" She was teasing, of course, but hopefully she hadn't underestimated him. It wouldn't be as fun to fling a wall of snow at him if he could just melt it like Zuko.
Horst leaped down and was behind her in a blur. "No," he said in a soft, low voice, one best suited to vampires, "No fire powers." Then he laughed, shedding that other demeanor as quickly as it had come. "Are you sure you can win?"
