Jr. got up when he heard the knock on the door and let Squall in with a smile. He wasn't surprised that Squall was among the first to arrive, given that he wasn't very far away and had lived at the house before and he just stepped back so his friend could walk in properly. "I've already looked over one place we could use if we have to hide people."

He walked back into the room behind Squall and lfited himself to sit on top of the table. "We can use the meeting hall if we need a place to defend. I looked around a few warehouses we could fix up for the public safehouse. As long as things don't get any more dangerous, we can let people come and go but make sure they have someone who can keep them safe."

Zuko is always fashionably late, obviously~ <3 innerfirewithin July 7 2010, 02:22:22 UTC
Zuko edged his way in through the slightly open door, assuming that Junior wouldn't mind just walking in. He was nervous -- alright, really nervous. He wasn't big on social interaction or any form of talking to people in general, but he had to make an effort. He was unwilling to have anyone else be harmed when he could do something about it.

Zuko leaned against the wall, arms crossed, not saying anything unless spoken to. Of those currently there, he only knew Junior, and Zuko was unwilling to interrupt his conversation with Leon. It wasn't his place to interrupt... at least, not yet.

I'll help when they need me to help.

You're not late until the party's started. books_n_battle July 7 2010, 16:58:04 UTC
Jr. looked over at the sound of footsteps and smiled a bit when he saw Zuko, waving him over. "Hey Zuko, c'mere. I want you to meet Leon. He's my closest friend here. Leon, this is Zuko. We've been talking a lot recently. I trust 'im."

Zuko hesitated only a few seconds before pushing himself up off the wall and moving towards Leon and Junior. "Hey," he said, giving Leon a brief nod. "Zuko," he added, figuring it was only polite to introduce himself.

A knock on the door and some low muttered greetings announced Urahara's arrival before he quietly pushed open the kitchen door, nodding to Junior, Leon and Zuko. Catching sight of the papers scattered on the table, he strode over to study them quietly, waiting for Junior to finish with his conversations as he silently used his other senses to assess the others.

Around 12:30, Jr. decided that it had been long enough and walked over to his seat at the table with a pile of papers in one hand. He hadn't given a public speech in a while-he usually left that stuff to Gaignun-but he'd by no means forgotten how to be a leader. "Thanks for showing up, everyone. I think we're gonna need all the help we can get here. The idea is to create a place where people can come if they feel like they need someone to protect them. It would be open to anyone that doesn't feel safe and the location would be public with the building itself guarded. But that's just the main building. I also want to have a secret safehouse to take people to if there's an outright threat to civilians. Preferably more than one. If anyone has any skills or abilities that'd help with this, let me know now so we can include them in our planning."
