Russell was standing in the hallway of his and Fletcher's house, leaning back against one of the walls with a blank look on his face. Blank and just... empty to anyone that didn't know him. But if his brother were to see him, he'd know that he was thinking, serious, and maybe just a little bit bothered by something. Just like his brother would pick up on the way that Russell pulling at his rolled-up shirtsleeve wasn't bored or cocky, it was a nervous habit that he indulged in while deep in thought, wearing away at a few loose threads in the fabric. He could fix them later, after he spoke with Fletcher...

The blond heaved a quiet sigh, pushed himself off the wall, and headed down the hall to his younger brother's bedroom.

"Fletcher?" Russell said quietly, peeking his head in the door. His voice was soft, but had that 'brotherly' tone to it. "We need to talk."

Fletcher looked up as Russell looked in, smiling when he saw his brother. "Russell? Okay..." His face had an 'am I in trouble?' look to it as he closed his book and pushed it back against the wall. "What is it?"

Russell let out another breath and shook his head. "You're not in trouble," he said right away. Fletcher's thoughts always went there first when he used that tone. Of course they did, any kid would think that when his big brother came into his room looking like that.

He sat down on the edge of Fletcher's bed and set his PCD down beside himself. "Come here and bring your PCD with you," he said, trying to sound a little softer than before. He didn't want to keep scaring Fletcher.

Fletcher hoped down from his chair and grabbed his PCD, walking over to the bed and sitting down on it. By now, Dart had woken up, peering at Russell as the eldest brother sat down, then clambered over into Fletcher's lap, promptly going back to his nap. Fletcher laughed lightly at the action, scratching his companion's head while he set his PCD down next to him, looking up at his brother expectantly.
