Summary: Ukitake invited Rinoa to visit him for Valentine's Day, and maybe to ask her something. Of course, that depends on the timing and his bravery levels.

A small sigh escaped Rinoa's lips; she had already given away most of her gifts for Valentine's day and she had been rather stealthy about it. She was actually a bit amazed that she had been able to at least improvise some gifts, which mostly consisted in chocolate since she hadn't been able to look for better gifts but Christmas had recently passed and she supposed that she could get away with this today ( ... )

He heard the knock and resisted the childlike urge to run to the door. That would look silly, now wouldn't it? He hadn't even turned around from looking out the window when he heard her voice. Well, it wasn't the first time she had let herself in, but he wasn't restricted to his bed this time.

"Of course not." He pushed away from the desk under the window and enveloped her in a hug, smelling her hair in the process. It was a smell unique to her, but he couldn't quite say what it reminded him of, only that it was very pleasant.

It crossed her mind that maybe she should have waited for permission to get in, well she will have to remember that next time, alongside with polishing her etiquette skills since she was taking too many liberties here.

She had barely closed the door when she was enveloped in a hug, she giggled and hugged him back, and it was nice welcome she wouldn't deny that. "Well, Happy Valentine's Day!" She pushed away and handed him a red box.

Ukitake loved hearing her laugh, or giggle. Any happy sound from her was good. When she pushed away, he felt a little sad and empty, but then his attention was focused on a gift.

So White Day was a sure day in his mind now.

"Happy Valentine's Day to you, too." He started to unwrap the box.
