The urge to take Kakashi's hand again was ridiculously strong. It was just about all Tenten could think about as she walked beside him, but he was holding and petting Shiori.

Right now, Tenten didn't know if she was thankful for Shiori, or just a little resentful. Maybe it was a good thing. She didn't want to think she'd become boy-crazy after one hand-holding.

She blinked at seeing Lee. Right there was a very good reason to not be giving in. "Lee! Hi. We're still here!" That might be the most obvious statement ever, but she wasn't exactly in the mood to be very observant.

For someone who was generally not a very touchy-feely kind of person, Kakashi wasn't sure what about this experience sparked this need to hold something. The compulsion felt a little childish, but he was holding his pup nonetheless, stroking her tiny feet, and he felt somewhat better for it, like the need had been satisfied.

It seemed they weren't the only ones who had stayed up to find out if the Animus would make good on their threat. Lee looked a little frazzled. Hm.

Still not sure where this extended stay put him with Team Gai, Kakashi minded his own business and paid more attention to his pet than to the kids. "...Mm hm. So it would seem."

Lee started slightly at the sound of Tenten's voice. He'd been too distracted by his thoughts to notice them coming down the hallway. There was a milisecond of awkward pause. "We are."

He didn't sound exactly enthusiastic about it- more confused. He looked at his teammate, then blinked.

Okay. He hadn't just thought that. Because that wouldn't make any sense.

He didn't- there was no way that he wanted to kiss Tenten. Just because he'd kissed Neji- how could- was he really that shallow? Lee's eyes widened slightly. The draw felt nearly overpowering, though, and-

It was a good thing that Kakashi was there. Not that he would have done anything if Kakashi wasn't there, and- damn it, Lee was already confused enough without this-

"Do the Animus do things like this often?" Lee asked, interrupting his own train of thought.

"Seem?" Tenten looked over at Kakashi, especially his hands, and wondered if she was as obvious as she feared. This officially sucked. "Would it be illusion again? But we'd have to still be here to be in their illusion."

Looking over at Lee, she wondered at why he seemed distracted. That wasn't very Lee-like. But the sudden desire to hold his hand wasn't very much like her either, as far as she knew. It was Lee. And she'd just taken Kakashi's hand. What was wrong with her? That had been supposed to mean something, a last gesture.

Tenten took a half-step closer. She managed to keep her hand down, though. Just barely.

"Um. Mess with people? Yes. Lie to them? That's... the first time, actually. Normally they're too truthful. Some of the conversations they've had with people..."

He was so close. Both of them were. If the puppy went down... She'd what, grab for Kakashi's hand with Lee right there? That couldn't possibly go down well.
