[A shriek of some combination of horror, anger, and loss sounded from the original of the two buildings. There was a significant pause in which nothing happened, but then the house was a mass of activity from the outside.

Flurried movement, slamming doors, and a blur of orange and black as it sped outside at an impressive speed, heading in the direction of the Wastelands. Obito was beyond angry, and didn't stop to notice his surroundings or indeed, his favored friend.]

[She should have expected it. In fact, a part of her had, and Carmen moved quickly to intercept Obito. He was fast, but she trained her own speed as well and she'd had a slight head start, distance-wise.

Carmen dropped down in front of Obito.]

This is not the way.

[Obstacles were obstacles. He expected resistance, expected people to try and stop him, and he didn't care. He was going to kill Sasori and that other Akatsuki person if it was the last thing he did. It didn't matter that he knew, somewhere, there was no way he'd ever win, but the hatred ran too deeply to remain idle.

Through the molten haze of the Sharingan, Obito's vision was questionable, but it was clear he either didn't stop to identify her, or he just didn't care to stop and check. Perceiving Carmen to be one of those people sent to stop him, his arm swung to the side, then snapped back to slam into her side in a motion that forcefully removed her from his path.]

[Carmen lacked a basic understanding of friendship, and how driven someone could be after losing someone close to them. No one she'd cared about had died. Certainly Zexion had left, as had Gai, but they hadn't even been central to her heart. Even hatred wasn't an emotion she dealt with.

She was very surprised when she was shoved to the side. The pain was incidental, minor. He was either in some sort of haze, or they knew she'd been a part of helping Sasori with the poison. Nothing so far seemed filtered from her, from what she could tell, so that possibility was unlikely. Carmen grabbed him by his collar.]

Obito. Do you intend to get yourself killed as well? Because that is what you are headed towards.
