Envy was conveniently disguised as an ordinary human in casual clothings, albeit a normal human walking along in the darkness seemingly without fear. From time to time, he flicked his eyes fownwards and stared at his PCD, following the coordinates as best as he could. This is one weird invention, Envy mused to himself as he strode along, entirely oblivious to the fact of how open he was. Overconfidence can kill.

Envy had a few tricks up his sleeve ready and was planning on exhibiting them soon when he spotted Alphonse - or what he thought was Alphonse - standing dead still. Suppressing a contorted grin, Envy slid out the scrap metal silently from his sleeve and broke into a sudden run, features crackling with what appeared to be a blue light as he morphed back to what Alphonse knew him as.

With a flick of his wrist, he brought the rod down.

Alphonse let Envy come to him. He wasn't being subtle this time -- he wondered if he'd goaded him too much, made him too angry.

Al threw up a steel arm to block the scrap, and sparks flew in the night like shooting stars as Al's arm slid along the bit of metal, making a grab for it.

Successful or not, he backed up a few paces into his ready stance.

"Been a while," he said softly, an almost playful note to his voice.

Envy swung as Alphonse grabbed the metal, using his legs to kick - but his reach wasn't good enough and he faltered slightly as he rolled away, standing, left arm wielding the metal like a sword.

"Definitely," Envy smirked before surging forward with surprising speed, this time jumping, calculating Alphonse's reach, a leg outstretched as he descended and knocked the head off.

"I knew it was there," Envy crowed.

"Ah-!"

Al's hands grasped at the helmet as it was lopped off, giving a deafening clang as it fell and rolled away in the dark. There was no time to go get it, but he could fight just as well without it, so he didn't give it a second thought. However, he was keenly aware of being exposed, and acted accordingly. Envy would get suspicious if he wasn't concerned.

The armor barrelled forwards, faster than any living human, feinted to the side, and snapped a fist suddenly up from below.
