Kenpachi left the wards. There was something horrifying about the thought of dying from too many Fourth Squad attendants. He didn't want to hang around where they could jump him again. Up ahead were the living quarters. That was a far more likely spot to find Unohana if she was aware here.
A few steps later he saw her and smiled as he approached. After bowing his head, he studied her, wondering how much of this woman was really Unohana. "Taichou." Even the way it was now nighttime wasn't discouraging; the setting fit together.

Kenpachi chuckled, going up to join her. "Could say tha'. Could say I just had a bit o' a nightmare. Didn't think I could."
He sat on the cushion, relaxing. She'd used his name, which he thought might mean she knew who he was and was aware. That would make being in her mind nicer.
"Yer havin' trouble sleepin' too?" She had to be asleep, but... she was outside, here. "It's a nice night ta spend wi' a drink wi' ya."

Unohana smiled, and put away the tea cups and teapot, taking out some sake instead. There was a cushion just waitin for a guest.
"Having trouble sleeping ? Why don't you join me for a drink ?"
