Asuna's eyes fluttered open in the foreign surroundings--of course, she didn't think too terribly much of it, as when one is asleep they tend to dream, and the concept of dreaming wasn't too foreign to Asuna. Dreams were frequent, but...
None like these. Asuna had never been to a park like this, so why was she dreaming of the place? She couldn't feel the heat of the sun or, well, anything else, really. Almost like a ghost.
Then, the laughter. Asuna turned away from the pathways, locking eyes with the girl on the swings. Was that...? Who was that?
The girl on the swings hung higher and higher, her laughter ringing through the mostly-empty park and mixing in with the other ghostly voices. When the swing reached the highest point the metal chains would allow, she pushed herself out of the seat and almost flew through the air before her black Mary Janes landed on the barkdust. She dusted herself up before looking up and smiling, taking a single step toward Asuna and covering the long distance between them.
"Hello, Miss Asuna," she said in a bright voice, her bright blue eyes staring up at Asuna's. "Welcome!"
Forgot to add--takes place Sunday eveningnotamonkeygirlApril 5 2009, 18:41:46 UTC
Asuna couldn't help but twitch when the girl had suddenly appeared in front of her. Because of her training, her brain automatically figured that sudden teleportation equals 'oh crap you better attack fast', but this girl was just a kid, she'd have no idea what was going on.
So she just gave the small Ginia a confused smile. "Hey, uh...where is this place?"
"You're in my mind. Or I guess her mind since I'm in her mind and it wouldn't make sense if you were in my mind because I don't really exist and can you really be in a location that doesn't exist?"
Ginia gave a small giggle and rocked back on her heels, smiling upward.

Unohana looks around with interest. It looks nice, and quiet. Looks do not make everything, though, and the energy flow of the place is ... almost impossible to grasp, which in tiself is strange.
The sound of laughter is hollow, and the only real thing seems to be the girl sitting on the bench over there. Unohana makes her way to her and smiles.
Ginia looks up from her book and smiles at Unohana, politely closing her book and setting her hands on the worn cover. A picture of a blonde girl wearing a blue dress chasing after a white rabbit peeks out from underneath her hands.
"I do not mind at all, Ms. Unohana. Please make yourself comfortable," she replies with practiced politeness. "We didn't expect any company here, but I do not think she would mind if you were here and wanted to look around. She thinks very fondly of you. You remind her of her mother."
The ghostly image of a tall woman with long black hair and walking with grace and poise and holding the hand of a little girl with matching black hair and brilliantly blue eyes walk past them before fading away.
Unohana sits down next to the child who speaks of Ginia as another person, although it is quite obvious that she, too, is Ginia. Maybe simply another part of Ginia.
She smiles as the ghosts pass them by.
"If I can help her by being there for her, then I am glad."
"She appreciates it. Sometimes she's really lonely, but doesn't want to admit it since she knows she has a lot of people around her and she shouldn't feel lonely. But she misses people."
She paused and dug the toe of her shoe into the ground, drawing a tiny circle in the cement, her face scrunching together in thought. Picking up her book, she held it up so Unohana could see.
"It's Alice in Wonderland. She hasn't read it in a long time so I'm reading it for her."

The place is unfamiliar. In fact, Vincent can't even remember ever seeing a place like that. He's always lived in big cities, in harsh environements, and playgrounds have never been a big part of his life, not even as a kid.
The sound of laughter is not unexpected, nor is the fact that the place seems to be empty in spite of the laughter. He's been hearing things for a long time. Laughter is new.
"Hello, Mister Valentine," says the voice of a little girl in front of him, her white straw sun hat clutched in her small hands. She smiles innocently and without fear as children do and rocks back onto her heels, still looking up.
A miniature Ginia. Well, well ... It's somethign else to actually hear her speak, and she is very cute, something which makes his instinct kick in ... except it's not exactly necessary in this place, is it ? She is probably safer than he is.
"Why not ..." he says with a nod. He still keeps contact with Ginia, even though they're less close than they used to be.
Her smile grew and she gave a small giggle before taking one of his hands in her own before pointing toward the city visible just beyond the ornate iron wrought gates of the park entrance with her other hand.
"That's the city. She spends most of her time there now and doesn't visit me as often."
The child representation of Ginia gave a small pout in annoyance before she continued speaking.
"It's dark and scary, but the city is a dark and scary place and I'm not supposed to go there myself. She lives there as well."
Ginia turned to point in the other direction, further into the park.
"That's where her family is. I spend most of my time there. The flowers are blooming this time of year. Lilacs. Lavender. Pansies."

Kyle wasn't the kind of drunk that wound up asleep in a ditch drowning in his own stomach contents. He might have this time. But this place was too... nice. But for all he knew he could have scared all the kids off. Except for that one--
Wait. That one.
...Ginia?
He just stood there at first, not knowing what the hell to make out of any of this.
Ginia, or the young representation of Ginia that lived inside her mind, was in the process of climbing up a small ladder onto a play structure, running over the wood bridges and platforms, then sliding down the bright yellow plastic slide before repeating the process. She wasn't bored or trapped in an endless cycle but simply enjoyed the repetition. But standing on the highest platform, she paused and spying kyle, waved at him before finishing the loop.
Standing up from the slide, she dusted her dress off before taking a step toward Kyle, appearing instantly in front of him.
"Whoah!" Suprised, Kyle stumbled back a bit. His hands, palms forward, were up slightly in defend/mini-surrender. It didn't take long for him to figure out this really was Ginia. He squinted a little, confused, and lowered his hands. "...Hey, Ginia."

The last time Goku had fell asleep on the grass had been long before he came to Adstringendum. So, as he woke up, he was more than a little confused.
"How did...when did I fall asleep in a park?" Standing up, he began to brush off the legs of his jeans. "I bet Gojyo drug me out in my sleep, that asshole! I'm gonna kick his ass!"
Congrats, Goku! Someone shorter than you!shadedsunlightApril 6 2009, 02:27:42 UTC
"Don't worry, Mister Gojyo didn't do that."
Ginia gave a small giggle from behind Goku. She was seated on the ground behind him, a sun hat on her head and a book spread out in her lap. She wiggled her feet from side to side and smiled up at him.
OH MY GOD AWWW I love kid!Ginia. xDkonobakazaruApril 6 2009, 02:31:35 UTC
"Huh?" Goku turned at the giggle, and gave Ginia a slightly confused look. "You look familiar...kinda smell familiar, too. But how do you know my name?"
It's all in the eyes. XDshadedsunlightApril 6 2009, 02:36:28 UTC
Ginia set her book on the ground, the book instantly vanishing, and stood up, brushing her dress off and adjusting her sun hat. Standing a good head under Goku, she smiled up at him.
"Because you're friends with her! And if she knows you, I know you too."

"What are you reading, Ginia-san ?"
It's easier to address the child by this name.
