When: After this and after Mello asks her to find him.
Where: First an abandoned warehouse, then the Clinic.
Rating: M for possible disturbing things, I guess
Summary: Unohana gores to find Near ... and heal what she can.

Near flinched instinctively, but the touch upon him was gentle; instead of moving away, he simply tensed. His eyes opened partially.

"Miss Unohana...what are you doing here?"

It was a question that was unnecessary to ask, but he didn't particularly care. His grip on his plushie tightened a bit.

Unohana sighed.

"Do you even need to ask, Near-san ? I am here to take a look at your injuries and bring you somewhere warm."

She could see the bite mark on his neck, deep puncture wounds that had almost coagulated already. Plus, there was what Mello-san had told her.

"I know you might not want to go back to the Clinic right now, but there is no other option. I swear I will not let anyone see you if you do no wish it, but you are coming back with me no matter what. However ..." she looked him pver once more and shook her head, "we are not walking back."

She ook a few steps to position herself in a slightly less messy area and unsheathed her nodachi.

"Swallow the Heavens, Minazuki !"

The blade turned to green smok,e and the smoke bubbled and solidified into the giant one-eyed stingray. the ground shook as it landed and keened. Unohana walked back to Near and prepared to lift him up still wrapped up in his blanket.

In his best physical state, Near would have been unable to fight off Unohana while her mind was set. Therefore, he didn't move at all, his trust in the Shinigami strong enough to keep him in her care. He didn't move at all.

"I don't want to stay," he murmured quietly.

She did lift him as if he weighed nothing and climbed with him on the back of the stingray. She smiled sadly as he said he didn't want to stay, but nodded once ( ... )
