Adstringendum was, without a doubt, in a complete mess. If the snowstorm didn't make it worse, the earthquake certainly did. Hakkai was probably lucky by the fact that he actually thought of looking for anyone else stranded despite the weather. He was, in a way, lucky to have Hakuryuu for helping him as well, even though the roads were in no way undamaged.

It took him longer than expected, but Hakkai finally managed to reach the coordinates given to him. The moment he reached a considerable distance from the ruins. He quickly jumped off from the jeep (who immediately turned back to his dragon form and flew behind Hakkai), quickly in search for any traces of Suzaku or Lelouch. Finally, he was able to find a familiar figure fanatically digging something out.

"Suzaku!!" He quickly tried to catch his attention as he rushed towards him.

Suzaku looked up for just a moment, the panic on his face showing more than ever. He had only seen Hakkai in passing before but he at least knew that the man was a helpful sort. He had no time to relax though.

"Ha...Hakkai...thank goodness. Lelouch is somewhere under all this," Suzaku said, continuing to dig and fling bits of rubble behind him. The whole thing was quite trying; one wrong move and the pile could collapse further and crush the boy trapped inside.

"He responded to me at first but now he's not..." he gave a cough and shivered for a moment before going back to digging.

Hakkai responded with a small smile of sympathy as he immediately helped Suzaku dig out his best friend. "We'll get him out. It might take us some time, but with 3 pairs of hands we can save him." It was far too dangerous to use a chi blast for this kind of job, so manual work would have to do. Even Hakuryuu knew how serious the situation was, and proceeded to contribute as much help as he could. He was removing the pieces of rock as fast as he could, but with careful precision.

"Lelouch shouldn't be buried very deep..."

"I hope not..." Suzaku said, the desperation in his voice obvious despite his attempts to keep a clear head and mind. He was a soldier and he had to act the part for Lelouch's sake. He couldn't make a mistake lest Lelouch ended up paying for it.

He continued to dig, hands becoming dirty and roughed up quickly. After what seemed like a few minutes that spanned an eternity, he caught the glimpse of a hand.

"Hakkai! He's here. Buried here!"
