Domesticity

This weekend, well really this Sunday, I was seized by the spirit of domesticity. I cleaned (I had to, bathroom was getting rather... hairy, so needed to be de-haired and kitchen floor was kinda sticky in areas, carpets needed vacuuming), I made chilli and apple sauce. *waves hand enthusiastically* I'm a girl, and your friend! :D But I also know how you feel, since I feel the same way about building real friendships with women. I "know" lots of woman, but we can be hard to get close to. I find I worry a lot more about being incompatible with female friends than I even would in a romantic relationship, and that frequently has me backing off more than I should. It's either that, or I just feel like an impostor somehow, even though I don't recall ever wanting to be a boy.

Lol! Yes, thanks for pointing that out, you are a girl and my friend! But yeah, much of what you say holds true for me as well. No, I've never, ever wanted to be a boy, but so many of my interests seem... masculine? I know there are other women into hockey and comic books and whatnot, but I just rarely seem to fully connect with them. And yes, I think that my historical female friendships (which have, on a few occasions ended not nicely) do stop me from trying to become closer friends with women. And I'm not entirely sure what to do about that, or if I WANT to do anything about it, its just something that strikes me from time to time.

there's a lot a hair at our house... hair hair everywhere.
As a hirsute man, it's inevitable, and yet, I think your hair is even more prevalent, beloved...
