I remember reading the Galveston story from years ago! The fat camp, the female friend, the abdominal pain and the mishap out on the water.......I remember it well! I like how you could bring up the appendix thing, post-Perdition and then added a touch of Michael. Very nice indeed.

I could swear I read it a few years ago, but not interwoven with the "present" part of the story. Just a stand alone. I do read a lot of fanfic, though, so hmmmm...dunno. I liked it:)
