Dean remained silent and Susan followed his lead. The guy was right, of course. There were four of them against Susan, who had no fighting skills, and Dean, who even if he had, was barely standing as it was.
That was a badass Christmas story! The framing was great and I really like how you weave in both the inside and the outside points of view. The original characters are endearing and brave (yay to anybody who stands up to our boys!), Uriel's ex-goons are scary. And Dean in the wonderful measure of broken, desperate but strong, nonetheless. 'OTHOTP' was as closest to Dean's undoing as it gets, but you don't push Dean Winchester too far or he pushes back. Hard. A brilliant glimpse of Dean's and Sam's innate 'specialness' and Dean's ability to actually kill an angel. All in all - thank you for an excellent, compelling read!
Thank you so much! I had a very hard time getting this story together, the damn thing wanted to go a dozen different directions. I'm very glad you liked the direction it ended up with.
Thank you! Even though the idea of Dean being able to kill angels this early in the game is a bit of a supposition on my part, yeah, it would've made the whole apocalypse thing a lot easier *g*
