ooooh, i like it! tia is such a tricky character, but with you she's powerful and vulnerable at the same time, and has such an attachment to her home and to pirates, very interesting!

Tia Dalma is one of the most difficult characters to write - her personality is such that it's nearly impossible to depict it accurately. You have achieved this difficult task, though. She felt very in OC here. Well done.

I must admit... she was quite difficult to write as she definitely has a mind of her own. I actually had to watch the scenes featuring her several times to get a feel of her personality to write it myself! But at the same time, it's her enigmatic personality that makes her so much fun to study and write about!

I came here by way of Kyra Neko Rei's post on my LJ ...I'm a huuuge fan of the whole Tia Dalma/Davy Jones thing. I'm fascinated...it's why I became a POTC fan to begin with ( yeah, about 3.5 years too late LOL from the first movie...but Dead Man's Chest and being a huge fan of Davy Jones is what got me started in the first place with the fandom).

XD We're sort of in the same boat! I've been a fan of the movies since CotBP... but the curiosity of Tia Dalma/Davy Jones has driven me to write PoTC fic for the first time. :D

I wrote a lot of stuff on the background of both characters...if you want ( yeah, I'm tooting my own horn) you can see a lot of it at blackpearlsails and at beforethebeard.

My favorite was exploring how Tia met Davy in the first place, and then how the chest was created.
