Happy upcoming birthday! I hope you and your family enjoy it, with a minimum of aggravation and thwarting.

The older I get and the faster the birthdays come, the more I want them to be nice days rather than putting in a lot of effort to make them something more. The attempt to "observe" something to make it memorable really can influence the outcome of how much you actually enjoy it.
