Most definitely yes! But then again, the Doctor may point out that it's a fixed point in time and we'd still be screwed! :-P

Yes, if the writers deemed it important!

As everyone echoes ... I would hate to be in that position. Perhaps I would try and save as many as possible. Perhaps I would just close my eyes and let it take a natural course without my visual guidance.

I just keep hoping that I never have to be in that position. It would weigh too heavily on me no matter what I decided!

Frozen with indecision is definitely my style too. What a prompt!

Oh, I totally empathize with you. If it were my "baby girl" no question I would pick her. I would haunt me after the fact, but I totally would save her.

Please read my offering. I did end up posting this week in spite of all those Kindle re- posts of my bye. http://murielle.livejournal.com/305245.html.

Yeah, family is always the exception, even with the haunting aspects of it. This was one of the hardest prompts I've ever had to answer! (And I loved your response to it! Talk about haunting!)

I think as far as the entries this week, as hard as the challenge was, it brought out the best in us.

Thank you!

I can really relate to this. Overwhelmingly, you come away with a sense that you do not ever want to have to make a decision like this, because all the choices are bad. And you may personally feel that the worst is the choice in which your agency has affected the outcome.

You can see why I took a completely different tack with this topic. The literal prompt? So much "ouch," no matter what.

Definitely ouch. I think it was the hardest prompt of Gary's I've ever had to write. It made me wish I'd had a bye left so I could skip it!
