At first, I thought he was just a crazy kid. He was always jumping and climbing. He hated wearing clothes. Getting him in the tub was next to impossible. Brushing his hair... ha! I was lucky that if I could get a comb through it without screaming and tears. When he was three, three and a half, he was diagnosed with Sensory Perception Disorder

Beautifully said. I have a few friends with kids with SPD, and it's really tough for the kids and their parents. My own son has some mystery freakout/struggles, and it is most likely anxiety. I totally identify with what you said about not wanting to change him. We face these things together, as a family. I feel so grateful to be the one who gets to parent this sweet kid and talk him through his toughest moments when he needs it.

Anyway, much of this was quite relatable for me, and I really liked it.
