Change isn't easy, even if it's for the better. AW

Very true. I've been all over the place with this topic and, when I started, I was going to talk about the difference a week makes when I'm on my meds. But I started writing and this is what it evolved in to. And I'm glad. I think it's better than what I would have written otherwise.

This was a topic that was both so easy yet so hard. I had too many directions and also started over. I almost byed, but I need to save my breaks for when The Mothership has knee surgery, assuming I make it in the game to that time. AW

I know what you mean. I already used one bye and I really don't want to have to use another this soon. I'm going to be out of town at various points through the season and I need to save them for those times.

It's incredibly hard to leave behind what you know in hopes of finding something better and different.

One of the best pieces of advice I got was that we tend to repeat dysfunctional relationships and situations because things that are familiar feel comfortable! Nice metaphor you've used. One minor typo in case you care - "walking through it's halls" :)

It's why I stayed in The 7 Year MistakeTM. I knew it wasn't healthy for me, and it knocked my self-esteem into a hole so deep I'm amazed I made my way out, but I was convinced that if I didn't stay with him, no one else would want me. The devil you know...

And thanks for the typo correction. I always seem to miss those.

"But what if there is?" the voice whispered. "What will you lose by not trying?"
Sometimes, that is the question we forget to ask ourselves. We cling to the known, but do not think about all the possibilities of any other choice. Sometimes the easy choice is not the best one.

Exactly! It's really hard to train yourself to step outside that comfort zone.
