My hub feels this way about taking his cholesterol meds. He hates that he has to do it. He feels flawed. I try to tell him it's ok because the alternative, (compromised health), would be worse for both us and him.

True enough. It can be hard to get through that emotional blockade. For me, at least, I know that intellectually, I know that I need them to be my best, but emotionally, it's so tough to face it sometimes. Thanks for commenting!

I think you did an excellent job of showing the battle those with mental illness have with taking medication.

Thank you! Wellbutrin's been my constant for the last.... probably 15 years. But medical situations, lack of insurance and my own stubbornness has caused me to be off them for long periods of time.

Thanks, hon. I've been back on my meds since Tuesday and I'm now practically running back up the stairs. It's a HUGE difference.
